My cat wakes up purring
and gives that purr to me.
In sunshine; when it’s raining,
No matter what the day might be.
My cat wakes up smiling
and gives that smile to me.
Beneath his whiskers it is clear
how happy he can be
My cat wakes up loving
and gives that love to me.
He loves to sleep beside my head
and wakes me tenderly.
With purrs and smiles and love, he gives
the best start to my day.
I couldn’t have a better friend-
There’s nothing more to say.
